Dr. Meggan Grant-Nierman DO, MBA, MHCDS
Dr. Meggan is a small-town native from Eastern Colorado who has dedicated her career to rural family medicine, honoring the legacy of the physicians who came before her. She completed her undergraduate studies at The Colorado College in 2002 and earned her medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in 2008, along with an MBA in Healthcare Leadership from Rockhurst University. She completed both her Family Medicine Residency and Sports Medicine Fellowship at Via Christi in Wichita, Kansas.
From 2012 to 2023, Dr. Meggan served as a physician partner at First Street Family Health, where she provided full-spectrum care. In 2024, she earned a Master’s in Healthcare Delivery Science from Dartmouth College, further deepening her commitment to building innovative, patient-centered models of care.
Dr. Meggan values independence, creative problem-solving, and the power of passionate, collaborative teams. For her, practicing medicine is a sacred privilege—an opportunity to walk alongside patients in moments of vulnerability, joy, grief, and healing. After more than a decade in a traditional, insurance-driven system, she recognized the limitations it placed on patient care and physician well-being. That realization inspired her to pursue a better path forward. Today, Dr. Meggan is proud to be part of a growing movement toward more connected, compassionate, and sustainable healthcare through Direct Primary Care (DPC).
Outside of her work, Dr. Meggan enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with her husband Josiah, their dogs, and close friends and family.
Susanne Denwalt CMA
Susie has been a medical assistant for 9 years, providing patient care with a smile to the Salida community both at First Street Family Health and the Salida Health Center. Susie grew up in Salida and her first career was owning the local KFC franchise. After the birth of her twins she made a career change and entered the healthcare field by going back to school to become a medical assistant all while raising a family. She is active in the St Joseph’s Catholic community and the Xi Epsilon Delta Sorority. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband Jeff, her dog Lucy and proudly watching her children spread their wings. She enjoys crafting/sewing and singing as a cantor at church.
